About the Role
BiOptimizers is seeking a data engineering contractor to support their remote-first team. The contractor will work independently to build and maintain data pipelines, implement business logic, and ensure data quality.
Key Responsibilities
- →Utilize AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor or Claude Code) for all development tasks
- →Build and maintain RAW → Base → Data Marts pipeline using dbt Core
- →Implement business logic in data transformations
- →Write Python scripts for data processing, validation, and API integrations
- →Build comprehensive test suites for data validation
- →Maintain automated quality monitoring across the data pipeline
Requirements
- ✓Expert-level proficiency with AI coding tools (Cursor or Claude Code)
- ✓2-5 years experience in data engineering or related technical role
- ✓Strong Python skills for data processing, business logic, and API integrations
- ✓Experience building and maintaining data transformations and pipelines
- ✓Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment
- ✓Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- ✓US time zone availability
