About the Role
We are looking for a Lead 3D Artist to join our team at Blackbird Interactive, an independent game studio focused on creating world-class games. This role involves leading an art team and creating 3D asset content for a large, exciting IP.
Key Responsibilities
- →Work closely with the Art Director and project leadership to define and communicate direction for this IP.
- →Explore, revise and iterate on pipelines and gameplays quickly and efficiently.
- →Provide in-depth research and reference materials to help drive visual development.
- →Consistently deliver asset work of the highest caliber that can inspire the team.
- →Delegate and direct responsibilities where needed, and proactively seek out and present solutions to problems.
- →Work with technical artists to come up with the most optimal and effective solutions to visualizing the art direction.
- →Work with production to provide estimates and ensure timely delivery of deliverables.
- →Help establish best practices and help write documentation to further organize and align the team.
Requirements
- ✓4+ years of industry experience leading art teams, in a senior or lead capacity.
- ✓Expertise in Maya and Unreal Engine.
- ✓Ability to create 3D production assets and Substance materials (Painter and/or Designer).
- ✓Ability to work in a collaborative environment with different disciplines outside of art.
