About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Engineer to join CD PROJEKT RED and contribute to Project Hadar, a new IP being developed with the same passion and quality as The Witcher and Cyberpunk 2077. This is an opportunity to shape a universe from the ground up and make a meaningful impact on an emerging world.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design, implement, optimize, and maintain core gameplay systems
- →Take ownership of key gameplay features, ensuring scalability, performance, and quality
- →Develop tools and debug utilities to streamline gameplay development
- →Collaborate with designers and other specialists to create engaging gameplay mechanics
- →Partner with design, QA, production, and other teams to define technical scope, timelines, and priorities
- →Debug, profile, and resolve technical challenges across large-scale systems
- →Conduct code reviews and maintain clean, modular, and maintainable code
- →Define and document technical standards
- →Mentor junior and mid-level team members, sharing knowledge and fostering team growth
Requirements
- ✓Experience with gameplay technology and game programming
- ✓Strong debugging and problem-solving skills
- ✓Ability to work collaboratively with designers and other specialists
- ✓Experience with developing tools and utilities for gameplay development
- ✓Knowledge of technical standards and documentation practices
- ✓Experience mentoring junior team members
