About the Role
We are looking for a Production Supervisor to join Cornerstone Building Brands. This role involves frontline supervisory functions and is responsible for safety, corrective action, employee relations, housekeeping, and performance reviews for multiple shifts of hourly employees.
Key Responsibilities
- →Maintain high level of visibility with associates and use a hands-on approach to communicate daily
- →Promote safety and ensure a safe work environment and safe associate work habits
- →Develop a high-performance work team with high levels of associate morale, satisfaction, and performance
- →Create and maintain a respectful work environment by listening, seeking facts to support decisions, and addressing unacceptable behavior
- →Help associates succeed through performance management and provide coaching
- →Review general status of production schedules to identify and resolve problems
- →Ensure the desired product quality levels are achieved through use of standard work and training
- →Support and implement new, customer-focused processes in accordance with lean principles
- →Provide training and coaching to improve standard work, work center organization, and housekeeping
- →Support and foster an environment of continuous improvement
- →Maintain time and production records
- →Take notice of process related problems and support associates in taking corrective action
- →Communicate with associates and other supervisors regarding equipment, safety, schedules, and performance improvement plans
Requirements
- ✓Experience in frontline supervisory functions
- ✓Knowledge of safety protocols and practices
- ✓Ability to develop and maintain high-performance work teams
- ✓Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ✓Experience with performance management and coaching
- ✓Understanding of production schedules and problem-solving
- ✓Familiarity with quality standards and training techniques
- ✓Knowledge of lean principles and practices
- ✓Ability to maintain time and production records
- ✓Experience with corrective action and continuous improvement initiatives
