About the Role
Datadog is seeking a Product Designer II to join the Shared Capabilities team within their Security Platform. This team builds foundational features used across multiple security products, focusing on creating cohesive, scalable, and intuitive designs.
Key Responsibilities
- →Design shared, platform-level features that support multiple security teams and workflows
- →Collaborate across product teams, aligning on requirements while balancing diverse needs
- →Drive consistency by defining and applying reusable security components and patterns
- →Own the end-to-end design process from exploration to implementation
- →Partner with stakeholders to shape direction and build alignment
- →Champion UI quality and usability across the platform
- →Contribute to and evolve design systems for security patterns
- →Iterate based on feedback and real-world usage
Requirements
- ✓3+ years of product design experience, preferably on complex products
- ✓Strong UI design skills with attention to detail and consistency
- ✓Systemic thinking to design solutions across teams and products
- ✓Proven stakeholder management and communication skills
- ✓Experience working across multiple teams in platform environments
- ✓Ability to navigate ambiguous problem spaces and bring clarity through design
- ✓Proficiency with modern design tools like Figma
