About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Development Representative to join our team at the Financial Times. This role focuses on generating new business opportunities by pre-qualifying leads and supporting the regional field sales team.
Key Responsibilities
- →Prospect and build a strong sales pipeline for the field sales team through outbound calling and email outreach
- →Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up
- →Research and engage with potential budget holders and decision-makers
- →Pre-qualify leads and schedule appointments or call-backs for the field sales team
- →Assign qualified opportunities to field sales colleagues for further development and closure
- →Gather feedback from sales managers to agree next steps and improve lead quality
- →Contact existing readers to collect testimonials and supporting evidence for proposals
- →Act as a bridge between marketing and sales, collaborating on campaign activity to improve lead generation
- →Accurately record prospect interactions in the CRM system
- →Produce weekly activity and performance reports, including challenges and successes
