An overview of this role
As a Zuora CPQ Developer at GitLab, you will be the core hands-on expert designing, implementing, and optimizing our Zuora Configure-Price-Quote solution as part of our Quote-to-Cash processes. You will configure, customize, and maintain a scalable CPQ platform that supports accurate quoting, subscription management, and reliable data flow across systems such as Salesforce and other integrated finance tools. In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders and Enterprise Applications Engineering team members to translate requirements into robust technical solutions, build and refine integrations, and ensure our product catalog and pricing models can support rapid growth. Your work will directly impact how deals are structured, billed, and recognized, helping to power our company's expansion. You will also collaborate with onshore and non-US teams, support data migration and reporting efforts, and troubleshoot high-impact issues in production environments. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine deep Zuora CPQ and Salesforce development expertise with end-to-end business process ownership, all within GitLab's remote, asynchronous, and values-driven environment.

What you'll bring
β’ 4+ years of Demonstrated hands-on experience designing, implementing, and optimizing Zuora Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) solutions across the full Quote-to-Cash (QTC) lifecycle.
β’ Deep technical expertise in Zuora CPQ and Billing configuration and administration, including complex product catalog, rate plan, pricing, and rules management.
β’ Strong experience integrating Zuora CPQ with Salesforce (Sales Cloud and Service Cloud) and other core business systems using REST APIs, Apex, and related integration or middleware tools.
β’ Proficiency with Salesforce technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, and Approval Processes, with the ability to design scalable, maintainable solutions.
β’ Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving high-impact CPQ and billing issues, including customizations, integrations, and data quality challenges.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to drive development tasks independently from concept through deployment.
β’ Effective communication and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with finance, operations, and go-to-market stakeholders in a distributed team environment.

About the team
The Zuora CPQ Developer is part of the Enterprise Applications Engineering team, which focuses on building and maintaining the finance and revenue systems that power the company's growth. We own critical initiatives across Zuora, Salesforce, NetSuite, and other connected platforms, with a strong emphasis on reliable, scalable Quote-to-Cash processes. We operate in a highly collaborative, remote-first environment and work asynchronously across regions, guided by GitLab's values of transparency, iteration, and open communication. We face the challenge of designing robust, integrated subscription and billing solutions at scale while continuously improving system performance, data quality, and user experience. The base salary range for this roleβs listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location. Sales roles are also eligible for incentive pay targeted at up to 100% of the offered base salary.
