About the Role
IXL Learning is seeking a Math Localization Content Editor with expertise in Australian English conventions, culture, and math curriculum. This role involves ensuring math videos are linguistically correct, grade appropriate, and culturally suitable for the Australian edition of our product.
Key Responsibilities
- →Review IXL math video content and suggest necessary adaptations for the Australian edition
- →Ensure content adheres to Australian English spelling, punctuation, grammar, and terminology conventions
- →Maintain cultural relevance for Australian students
- →Adhere to IXL style guide specifications
- →Ensure grade-level appropriateness and pedagogical relevance per Australian teaching conventions
- →Answer queries regarding Australian English, cultural customs, and math curriculum
Requirements
- ✓BA/BS degree in a relevant field and prior experience in a related role
- ✓Impeccable knowledge of Australian English linguistic conventions
- ✓Strong understanding of Australian culture and customs
- ✓Familiarity with style manuals and guides
- ✓Experience as a math teacher in the Australian education system
- ✓Extensive knowledge of Australian pedagogy and teaching methodologies
- ✓Understanding of students’ reading and knowledge levels
- ✓Strong communication skills
- ✓Ability to meet deadlines and manage assignments efficiently
- ✓Proficiency in Google Docs and Google Sheets
