You will collaborate cross-functionally across a team of innovative Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and Applied Scientists to deliver a scalable, reliable agentic systems that deliver measurable customer value. In how we work, we place a strong focus on collaboration and support one another in everything we do. 💻 WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING - Technical Leadership - Foster an engineering culture centred on experimentation, accountability, and craft. - Mentor other engineers, helping them navigate the unique challenges of building agent-based systems. - Technical Direction & Architecture - Contribute to the architecture and evolution of Loopio’s agent platform. - Define design patterns for building reliable, observable, and secure agents. - Partner with Data and ML teams to integrate LLMs, vector stores, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines into agentic workflows. - Make architectural decisions that balance rapid prototyping with production-scale reliability. - Execution & Delivery - Own the delivery of agent-driven features from concept to launch. - Collaborate with Product and Design to define customer-facing workflows and iterate quickly based on feedback. - Manage dependencies across teams to ensure smooth delivery of complex AI-driven features. - Establish feedback loops and monitoring to ensure agents perform reliably in production. - Operational Excellence - Champion best practices for safe, explainable, and testable AI-driven systems. - Ensure robust observability, telemetry, and error handling for agentic workflows. - Lead post-incident analysis and continuous improvements for agent-powered systems. - Streamline development workflows, tooling, and processes to speed experimentation. - Cross-Functional Collaboration - Serve as a key partner in shaping Loopio’s product strategy around automation and agentic workflows. - Collaborate with Data, Infrastructure, and Product teams to ensure scalable AI/ML foundations. - Communicate technical trade-offs, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders across the business. - Innovation & Emerging Technologies - Explore new agent architectures, orchestration frameworks, and safety guardrails. - Keep current with developments in multi-agent systems, workflow orchestration, and LLM-powered automation. - Encourage innovation and experimentation within the team while ensuring production-readiness. ✨ WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE TEAM - 8+ years of software development experience - Hands-on experience building and deploying AI agents, agentic workflows, or autonomous orchestration systems. - Proven track record of bringing at least one agent-based product or feature to market. - Technical fluency with LLM integration, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and workflow orchestration frameworks. - Strong understanding of distributed systems, observability, and production-level AI deployment. - Excellent communication skills, with the ability to align technical innovation with customer and business value. - Track record of fostering high-trust, inclusive, and collaborative engineering environments. - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field—or equivalent industry experience. Where You’ll Work 📍 - Loopio is a global company, HQ’d in Canada, that embraces flexible and effective work models. While many of our teams operate remotely, this role is part of a new, strategic product team that will work in a hybrid model to accelerate innovation and foster deep collaboration. - For this role, you will be based in our Toronto, Ontario hub, with the expectation of working from our co-working space in downtown Toronto 3 days per week. This approach is intentionally designed to give you the best of both worlds: high-impact, in-person collaboration with your team to drive impactful product initiatives, and the flexibility of focused work-from-home days. - Our co-working space located in the heart of Downtown Toronto and a 12-minute walk from Union Station - Our employees (or Loopers, as we call ourselves!) live and work in 🇨🇦 Canada (British Columbia and Ontario), 🇬🇧 London, and 🇮🇳 India (specifically in Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Bengaluru). - You’ll collaborate with your teams virtually across the UK, India, and North America (we’re just a Zoom call and Slack message away!) with core sync hours and focus time for headsdown work 🙇🏾 during the workday - We encourage asynchronous collaboration to effectively work as a global #OneTeam!
