About the Role
We are looking for a Shared Services Product Manager to join Mama Money, a growth stage fintech startup helping migrant workers in South Africa send money home. This role will own the end-to-end development of internal platforms and operational products that support business functions across finance, operations, risk, compliance, and customer support teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Define and drive the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Mama Money’s internal platforms and operational tools
- →Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve efficiency across teams
- →Prioritize initiatives that enhance scalability, reliability, and compliance of internal processes
- →Partner with designers and engineers to build intuitive internal tools
- →Simplify complex processes such as reporting, transaction monitoring, and customer issue resolution
- →Collaborate with engineering teams to develop resilient, scalable internal systems
- →Ensure integrations meet compliance, risk, and regulatory requirements
- →Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand pain points and design solutions
- →Analyze operational metrics and data insights to inform product decisions
- →Stay informed about industry best practices in fintech operations and internal platforms
Requirements
- ✓5 to 6+ years of product management experience, ideally in fintech, payments, operations, or internal tooling
- ✓Experience managing end-to-end product development across front-end and back-end systems
- ✓Strong understanding of operational workflows, compliance requirements, and internal process optimization
- ✓Ability to translate business and regulatory needs into clear technical requirements
- ✓Data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to guide prioritization and decision-making
- ✓Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
- ✓Prior experience in high-growth, customer-focused tech environments is a plus
