About the Role

We are looking for a Digital Architect to join MariaDB, the backbone of the world’s most critical applications. This role focuses on ensuring MariaDB is recognized as the best open-source database for enterprise high-performance through digital presence and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO).

Key Responsibilities

→Orchestrate LLM Visibility: Use tools like Profound and Promptwatch to monitor and improve MariaDB’s "Share of Model" across major LLMs.
→Source Influence: Identify authoritative sources and implement strategies to ensure MariaDB’s content is cited accurately.
→Answer Gap Analysis: Identify queries where competitors are recommended over MariaDB and execute content/technical plays to flip the narrative.
→Full-Funnel Paid Search: Manage high-intent Google/Bing/LinkedIn campaigns to drive awareness and high-quality leads.
→Hybrid Strategy: Integrate traditional SEO keywords with "Prompt Engineering for Search" to optimize landing pages for both human readers and AI crawlers.
→Data Attribution: Track the customer journey from AI-generated answers to website conversions.
→Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO): Leverage web tools to experiment and optimize conversion rates.
→The AI Stack: Own and optimize our marketing AI stack, including using AI agents for content scaling and monitoring sentiment via Promptwatch.
→Continuous Testing: Run "synthetic search" audits to see how our brand sentiment evolves with every model update or product launch.

Requirements

✓5+ years in Performance Marketing or SEO, with at least 1–2 years focused on AI-driven strategies or AEO.
✓Technical Depth: Understand how retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) works and how to structure data for AI bots.
✓Tool Fluency: Expert-level knowledge of Profound, Promptwatch, GA4, Google Ads, and SEMrush.
✓Database Curious: Ability to translate complex technical concepts into the "language of LLMs".
✓Experience in the database or high-tech B2B SaaS industry.
✓A portfolio of "GEO Wins" where you improved a brand's visibility within an AI's response window.
✓Proficiency in Python or SQL for data analysis and marketing automation.
