Role Title: Product Manager (Technical – Agentic Voice) Department: Product Management Location: Hybrid or Remote (EU time zone) – Germany Employment Type: Full-time
So, what’s the role all about?
As a Technical Product Manager for Agentic Voice at Cognigy, you will lead the strategy and execution of our next-generation voice capabilities at the intersection of conversational AI, real-time voice infrastructure, and enterprise-grade platform architecture.
You will own the Agentic Voice domain — including telephony integrations, SIP and carrier connectivity, real-time media streaming, STT/TTS orchestration, latency optimization, and voice-native agent behaviors. You will work closely with engineering, design, customer-facing teams, and go-to-market partners to define what we build, why we build it, and how we measure success in voice-first enterprise environments.
You will translate complex voice network constraints and AI capabilities into scalable, reliable, and high-impact product outcomes. This role requires strong technical fluency in voice systems and AI-driven speech technologies. You will report to the Director of Product.
What You Will Do
You will own product discovery and delivery for the Agentic Voice product area, from problem definition through launch, iteration, and continuous improvement.
You will:
• Define and drive the voice product strategy, covering telephony infrastructure, SIP integrations, voice gateways, media handling, STT/TTS providers, and real-time orchestration.
• Partner with engineering to design resilient, low-latency, carrier-grade voice architectures.
• Shape product direction by combining market insights, customer feedback, call analytics, usage data, and platform constraints into strong recommendations and clear priorities.
• Evaluate and integrate voice technology providers (STT, TTS, VAD, media streaming, etc).
• Own key technical decisions around latency, audio quality, scalability, failover, and compliance in enterprise voice environments.
• Build prototypes and validate new voice experiences using modern AI and speech tooling when needed.
• Drive cross-functional alignment across engineering, solution engineering, sales, and customer success to ensure successful adoption of voice capabilities.
• Define success metrics such as call quality, latency, containment rate, handover performance, and infrastructure reliability.
• Translate technical trade-offs (e.g., streaming vs batch STT, SIP vs CPaaS approaches etc.) into clear product decisions.
• Continuously improve the Agentic Voice experience through experimentation, measurement, and iteration.
Who You Are
You are a product manager with strong technical fluency and a proven track record of delivering meaningful outcomes in SaaS, AI, or platform-focused environments.
You are hands-on and stay current with modern AI tooling. You can build prototype yourself. You can navigate ambiguity, structure complex problems, and move from concept to execution without losing focus on customer value. You are comfortable discussing system constraints and architectural trade-offs with engineers, and you communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. You balance speed and quality with a pragmatic approach to prioritization and product decisions. You are an effective collaborator who raises the bar through ownership, clarity, and follow-through.
Preferred Experience
You have experience working on conversational AI, LLM-enabled products, automation platforms, or adjacent technical products. You are familiar with enterprise product requirements, including scalability, security, and adoption considerations. You have led cross-functional initiatives with international, distributed teams and can demonstrate how your work influenced both product quality and business outcomes. You bring an ownership mindset, take initiative, and consistently drive work to completion.
We value strong product judgment, practical know-how, and the ability to deliver impact, regardless of the number of years on your CV.
Application
If this role matches your experience and ambitions, we encourage you to apply and share examples of products or initiatives where you drove technical and business impact.
