About the Role
We are looking for a Strategic Finance Analyst to join our team at Octopus Energy in Italy. This role will support the growth of our business by providing financial analysis and building financial models to support business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Build and maintain short and long-term financial models to support business evolution.
- →Lead the preparation of monthly financial outlooks and contribute to management reporting with a focus on strategic analysis and insights.
- →Support the business in analyzing key economic trade-offs between growth and margin, investments and cash.
- →Collaborate with various teams to identify new KPIs and refine analyses, particularly with data teams.
- →Support M&A and organic growth activities by contributing to financial valuations, business cases, and due diligence.
Requirements
- ✓2-3 years of experience in Strategic Finance or Corporate Finance in scale-up or investment environments, including financial modeling.
- ✓Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage and interpret complex data.
- ✓Experience with Board and investor reporting and preparation of financial presentations.
- ✓Familiarity with financial reporting and monthly closing processes.
- ✓Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools like Power BI and a data-driven mindset.
- ✓Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation, including reading and understanding existing code.
- ✓Hands-on attitude, ownership, and ability to collaborate with non-financial stakeholders.
- ✓Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- ✓Excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in English is essential.
