About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our team at Oowlish, a rapidly expanding software development company in Latin America. This role involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, working closely with leadership, DevOps, research, and customer support teams.

Key Responsibilities

→Design, implement, and maintain systems that impact company operations
→Manage ETL processes, data modeling, and analytics readiness
→Collaborate across teams to ensure efficient, secure, and optimized data flows
→Work independently and take ownership of solutions
→Adapt to shifting priorities in a startup-style environment

Requirements

✓5+ years of experience in data engineering or similar roles
✓Advanced programming skills in Python
✓Solid hands-on experience with Apache Airflow
✓Experience with Snowflake
✓Strong SQL skills
✓Ability to work independently and take ownership of solutions
✓Previous experience in small company or startup environments
✓Comfort working as the sole data engineer and collaborating with multiple teams
✓Open to overlapping with Pacific and Hong Kong time zones for QA/debugging
✓Proactive communicator, responsive on Slack during work hours
