About the Role
We are looking for a Sales Engineer to join our team and empower prospects' full potential on the Plaid Network. This role involves working closely with the Fintech Sales team as the technical lead during the pre-sales process, partnering with Account Executives to overcome technical objections and build solutions around Plaid products.
Key Responsibilities
- →Partner with Account Executives to lead technical discovery and solution design for major Fintech prospects
- →Showcase Plaid's value by demonstrating how our products address prospect use cases and business goals
- →Engage deeply with technical stakeholders to drive trust, alignment, and technical buy-in
- →Deliver world-class pre-sales support including product demos, answering technical questions, and architecting solutions
- →Lead hands-on POCs to validate Plaid's capabilities and propose resolutions
- →Continuously refine selling motion by updating technical assets and improving messaging
- →Advocate for customers internally through collaboration with Product and Engineering teams
- →Contribute to team excellence by sharing knowledge and mentoring peers
Requirements
- ✓7+ years of customer-facing experience selling to large enterprises
- ✓A strong sense of customer empathy
- ✓Background combining business experience, sales skills, and technical acumen
- ✓Strong communication skills with a confident and proactive approach
- ✓Ability to quickly understand new technologies and complex concepts
- ✓Knowledge of web services, APIs, and related standards such as HTTP and REST
- ✓Knowledge of mobile and web application architecture specific to interfacing with API platforms
- ✓Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time
- ✓Nice to have: Payments, Fraud and/or Credit experience
