About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Editor to join Spotify’s Music Editorial team based in Seoul. This role focuses on shaping engaging music experiences for listeners in South Korea through cultural expertise and data-informed decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- →Curate cohesive and engaging playlists across diverse genres and moods
- →Identify emerging music trends, artists, and cultural movements
- →Use user behavior and performance data to optimize playlist engagement
- →Contribute creative editorial ideas and formats for music stories
- →Collaborate with regional and global teams on programming initiatives
- →Work cross-functionally with Artist & Label Partnerships, Marketing, and Product teams
- →Support artist discovery efforts through Spotify’s editorial ecosystem
- →Maintain an unbiased, professional editorial voice
Requirements
- ✓5–8 years of experience in music industry, digital programming, journalism, or music curation
- ✓Strong knowledge of the South Korean market and its evolving trends
- ✓Broad genre fluency across diverse styles and moods
- ✓Ability to interpret data and analytics to inform editorial decisions
- ✓Balance cultural intuition with critical thinking
- ✓Excellent communication skills in written copy and multimedia formats
- ✓Proficiency in written and spoken Korean and English
- ✓Experience with Google Suite and basic visual asset workflows
