About the Role
We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our team at Taxfix Group, working with the Steuerbot brand. This role involves developing technology that enables and accelerates the growth of Steuerbot and Taxfix, helping millions of people file their taxes with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- โBuild, improve, and maintain fullstack functionality across backend services and web frontend
- โDesign and evolve APIs and system boundaries for fast, reliable team collaboration
- โCollaborate with product and design partners to shape solutions and deliver features end to end
- โStrengthen release safety and developer experience through CI/CD improvements and test automation
- โTake ownership of production health, including observability and incident response
- โDrive architectural improvements that reduce complexity over time
- โMentor and set a high bar for engineering quality
Requirements
- โStrong professional experience as a fullstack engineer with deep backend expertise
- โPreferably strong Golang skills and solid experience with JavaScript and TypeScript
- โProven system design ability with clear trade-off explanations
- โExperience operating containerized services in production and working with Kubernetes
- โQuality mindset focused on automated testing, safe releases, and understandable systems
- โProfessional fluency in German
- โFamiliarity with generative AI tools
