About the Role

We are looking for a General Manager to join Toptal, a global network of top talent in business, design, and technology. This role involves serving as the end-to-end owner of a new, high-impact business line, driving growth and building the business from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

→Ensure the success of the business by optimizing supply and demand
→Analyze market and industry opportunities and identify those with highest potential
→Build and test new offerings with clients to achieve product-market fit
→Lead the creation of an execution plan to ensure the right talent and solutions are available
→Work closely with Executive and Senior Leadership to align the business with Toptal’s growth goals
→Establish robust analytics and feedback loops to continuously iterate on strategy
→Guide clients as a trusted business partner through their business challenges
→Work cross-functionally with teams such as Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Sales

Requirements

✓Bachelor’s degree is required. Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field preferred.
✓10+ years of experience driving and managing a business with a strong understanding of business operations.
✓3+ years managing a business with P&L ownership.
✓Experience working in a professional services organization, driving business growth.
✓Demonstrated success in building and launching a new business or product offering from scratch.
✓Experience at a technology or hyper-growth company is strongly preferred.
✓Leadership experience in a fast-paced, multi-function environment.
✓Strong commercial acumen and command over P&L and financial metrics.
✓Excellent written and oral communication skills.
✓Strong organization skills and detail-oriented.
✓Adaptable and comfortable managing changing priorities.
✓Ownership and pride in everything you deliver.
✓Ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company.
