About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Product for Search & Commerce to lead one of Trainline’s most critical product domains. This role defines the long-term vision for Search & Commerce and leads its execution in partnership with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Commercial and Marketing teams.
Key Responsibilities
- →Set and communicate a clear long-term vision for Search & Commerce
- →Own the product strategy and roadmap for the end-to-end Search & Buy journey
- →Champion a personalised, dynamic, and friction-free customer experience
- →Drive a strong culture of learning, experimentation, and evidence-based decision-making
- →Own end-to-end product delivery for the Search & Commerce domain
- →Guide the evolution of the platform architecture to support scalability
- →Ensure product decisions are tightly connected to commercial outcomes
- →Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers
Requirements
- ✓Extensive experience leading product strategy and delivery for core consumer purchase experiences
- ✓Proven track record optimising search-driven ecommerce experiences in a multi-market environment
- ✓Strong commercial acumen connecting customer experience decisions to growth outcomes
- ✓Deep experience using data, experimentation, and insight to drive product decisions
- ✓Comfort operating in technically complex environments with senior engineering leaders
- ✓Excellent stakeholder management skills including influence at VP and Exec level
- ✓Background in travel, marketplaces, or high-growth consumer technology businesses
- ✓Experience evolving search or commerce platforms supporting mobile, web, and backend systems
- ✓Exposure to machine learning or personalisation in search or purchase flows
