ROLE OVERVIEW
The Account Manager plays a pivotal role in driving customer retention and growth across our existing client base. This individual will own the renewal and upsell process, partnering closely with the SWMs and Customer Success teams to ensure customers continue to realize long-term value with Transfr.
They will serve as a trusted advisor and revenue ownerβproactively managing renewals, identifying expansion opportunities, and executing complex negotiations with precision. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at relationship management, and is passionate about helping customers achieve success.
** This position will work on deals which are typically complex, consultative, and require a tailored strategy and solution to meet the needs of the customer. It is full-time, fully-remote and requires someone residing in their assigned territory willing to travel domestically up to 60% or more.
The expected territories for this role are Texas and Arkansas, and therefore we will only consider candidates based in this region and the surrounding regions. Territories are subject to change based on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Renewals & Retention
- Proactively own renewals for a portfolio of assigned customers, ensuring timely execution and minimal churn.
- Develop customized renewal proposals and pricing options 120+ days in advance of renewal dates.
- Mitigate risks of cancellation by identifying challenges early and developing retention strategies in collaboration with SWMs and Customer Success Managers.
- Maintain accurate renewal forecasting and pipeline visibility through consistent reporting.
Growth & Expansion
- Identify and execute on upsell and cross-sell opportunities within assigned accounts using consultative, value-based selling techniques.
- Partner with leadership to drive revenue expansion goals and contribute to quarterly growth planning.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with SWMs, Customer Success, Deal Desk, Finance, Legal, and Sales Operations to streamline renewal processes and address customer needs.
- Ensure alignment between internal stakeholders to deliver a seamless customer experience during renewal and expansion cycles.
Process & Reporting
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all renewal activities, proposals, and customer communications in Salesforce.
- Provide timely and precise weekly, monthly, and quarterly forecasts to leadership.
- Continuously refine renewal and upsell workflows to improve efficiency and consistency.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- 3β5 years of experience in renewals or account management within SaaS, EdTech, or a related software industry.
- Proven record of meeting or exceeding renewal and upsell targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills with comfort engaging C-level executives.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills with a process-driven mindset.
- Experience managing cross-functional projects under tight deadlines.
- Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.

- Up to 60% travel is required.
WHAT WE OFFER:
The base salary range for this position is expected to be between $90,000 - $110,000, with the actual base salary amount dependent on a number of factors, including but not limited to a candidateβs credentials, relevant experience, and primary job location. In addition to salary, this role will be eligible for commission and additional company benefits such as stock options, 401(k), paid vacation and sick time, and health benefits.
