The Pre-sales team at Unico acts as the strategic bridge between our commercial team, the client's technical departments, and our internal Sales, Product, Data, and Engineering units.
This role combines Sales Engineering and Solution Architecture, with a heavy focus on solution design, technical-commercial analysis, cross-functional leadership, and strategic decision-making in high-impact deals.
As a technical and business benchmark, you will translate complex client challenges into concrete Unico solutionsβanticipating risks, structuring successful POCs and Backtests, and influencing senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Strategic Leadership: Help lead the Pre-sales function in Mexico, serving as a technical-commercial point of reference for high-impact opportunities.
β’ Discovery & Needs Analysis: Deep dive into clients' technical, operational, and business needs to identify risks, opportunities, and success criteria from the earliest stages of the sales cycle.
β’ Solution Design: Translate complex business problems into comprehensive Unico solutions, orchestrating multiple products as needed.
β’ Validation Strategy: Define the technical scope for Pilots, POCs, and Backtests, including hypotheses, KPIs, success criteria, and execution roadmaps.
β’ Execution Oversight: Monitor the execution of Pilots, POCs, and Backtests, ensuring technical alignment, performance tracking, and deep impact analysis.
β’ Trusted Advisor: Partner with the sales team to provide technical leverage, impact metrics, and data-driven storytelling.
β’ Executive Engagement: Lead strategic client meetings as a technical specialist, facilitating high-level, complex conversations with senior leadership.
β’ Cross-functional Orchestration: Coordinate with Sales, Product, Data, Engineering, Compliance, and Operations to design and implement integrated solutions.
β’ RFI/RFP Leadership: Lead and review technical responses to RFIs and RFPs, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with Unicoβs global strategy.
β’ Quality Assurance: Evaluate, review, and approve technical proposals, raising the bar for clarity and quality standards.
β’ Market Feedback Loop: Provide internal teams with market insights and real-world product usage data to drive product improvements and new approaches.
β’ Cultural Ambassador: Act as an ambassador for Unicoβs culture, promoting transparency, collaboration, accountability, and a focus on impact.
Requiriments:
β’ Solid Background: Proven experience in Pre-sales, Sales Engineering, Solution Architecture, or senior technical-commercial roles, ideally within B2B SaaS.
β’ Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders.
β’ Technical Proficiency: Strong command of software products, systems architecture, and API-based integrations.
β’ Analytical Mindset: Experience designing and executing Pilots, POCs, and/or Backtests with a relentless focus on metrics and outcomes.
β’ Business Acumen: Ability to translate business requirements into clear, scalable technical solutions.
β’ SaaS Expertise: Deep understanding of B2B SaaS/Tech models, complex sales cycles, and long-term decision-making processes.
β’ Communication: Ability to articulate technical concepts clearly and persuasively, tailored for a business audience.
β’ Agility: Proven ability to work cross-functionally in dynamic, highly collaborative, and fast-paced environments.
β’ Strategic Thinking: Focus on impact, prioritization, and resource optimization with a resilient and adaptable attitude toward strategic shifts.
Nice to have:
β’ Experience in Anti-fraud, Digital Identity, Biometrics, Onboarding, or Cybersecurity.
β’ Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SDKs, and front-end concepts.
