About the Role
Vori is seeking a Forward Deployed Data Engineer to bridge the gap between customer systems and our modern grocery platform. This hands-on role involves configuring Vori for each retailer's unique needs, reducing out-of-stocks, cutting shrink, and driving efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- →Understand the VoriOS system end to end and interdependencies between the system and its integration components
- →Define and configure system specifications based on customer needs
- →Configure and maintain data mappings and reconciliation as part of the operations team
- →Thrive in a cross-functional environment, working closely with Operations, Product, and Engineering teams
Requirements
- ✓5+ years in FD/Solutions Engineering or a similar customer-facing technical role, ideally in B2B SaaS or fintech
- ✓Hybrid skillset with strong backend/data engineering fundamentals and ability to interact directly with customer IT teams
- ✓Domain awareness with unstructured data, ETL processes, and ML/OCR pipelines
- ✓Customer empathy and comfort in troubleshooting messy, high-pressure customer environments
- ✓Bias for autonomy in managing extraction, ingestion, and pipeline tuning
- ✓Proficiency in SQL, Regex, and scripting, with a willingness to learn new technologies
