About the Role
Wave is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Payroll to own the strategy, roadmap, and execution for critical Payroll experiences and platform capabilities. This role will shape how entrepreneurs onboard, run payroll, stay compliant, and trust Wave to handle their financial workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- →Develop and lead the long-term vision for Payroll, translating customer and regulatory insights into product strategy
- →Lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, CX, Operations, Risk, Finance, and Compliance
- →Balance strategic clarity with operational excellence, from conceptualizing new capabilities to managing existing systems
- →Drive product strategy and vision, identifying new opportunities through research and analysis
- →Lead cross-functional teams to build platform capabilities that simplify onboarding, enhance compliance, and improve reliability
- →Translate strategy into clear roadmaps, requirements, and measurable outcomes
- →Partner with stakeholders to ensure alignment on processes, risk tolerances, and regulatory expectations
- →Use analytics and data to guide prioritization and evaluate success
- →Serve as a subject matter expert on Payroll, compliance, and financial workflows
Requirements
- ✓5+ years of product management experience with at least 3 years in financial services
- ✓Familiarity with financial products onboarding experiences including KYC, KYB, and risk mitigation
- ✓Experience leading product teams from ideation to launch to scale in a Fintech environment
- ✓Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment
- ✓Excellent communication and presentation skills
- ✓Experience in customer and market research
- ✓Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- ✓Ability to communicate and influence various stakeholders effectively
- ✓Understanding of customer problems and ability to translate them into solutions
