About the Role
We are looking for a Finance and Operations Specialist to support the Upstate SC team in all financial and operational aspects to ensure smooth office functioning. This position requires a commitment to the organization's Christian mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
- →Process accounts payable and receivable with proper coding, documentation, and approvals
- →Manage recurring office payments and program participant funds
- →Maintain records for all transactions and process incoming revenue
- →Monitor grants receivable and ensure accurate reimbursements
- →Prepare reports and invoices for specific grants to ensure compliance
- →Track client expenses and maintain accurate reporting with program teams
- →Reconcile staff credit cards monthly and allocate transactions appropriately
- →Maintain a clean, welcoming, and organized office environment
- →Manage office supplies, equipment, vehicles, and maintenance schedules
- →Assist the Upstate SC Director with various tasks and projects
Requirements
- ✓Mature and personal Christian faith committed to World Relief's mission
- ✓Accounting or bookkeeping experience required
- ✓Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- ✓Experience in not-for-profit organization preferred
- ✓Experience managing federal, state, and/or local government grants preferred
- ✓Strong problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- ✓Ability to analyze financial information and solve complex problems
- ✓Comfortable working in fast-paced, challenging, multi-cultural environments
- ✓Valid license and able to pass MVR
- ✓Bachelor's degree required
- ✓2-5 years relevant experience preferred
