About the Role We are looking for an experienced API Gateway Architect to lead an enterprise-scale migration from Apigee Edge to Amazon API Gateway (AWS). This role requires hands-on experience with API architecture, cloud migration, automation, and platform modernization. Key Responsibilities • Lead enterprise-scale migration from Apigee Edge to Amazon API Gateway • Design and implement API architecture solutions • Manage cloud migration projects with minimal disruption • Develop automation solutions for API management • Ensure security, performance, and reliability of API systems Requirements • 10+ years of software/integration engineering experience • 5+ years of API Management experience • 3+ years of hands-on Amazon API Gateway experience in production • Proven experience migrating Apigee Edge to Amazon API Gateway • Strong knowledge of Apigee proxies, policies, shared flows, API products, and environments • Expertise in AWS services – IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, CloudWatch, and KMS • Hands-on experience with Terraform / AWS CDK • Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or TypeScript / Node.js • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and OpenAPI-driven automation • Strong API architecture, security, performance, and migration expertise Benefits • Long-term contract opportunity • Competitive hourly pay (W2 or C2C) • Opportunity to work on enterprise-scale projects
