About the Role Ewents is seeking a Senior AWS/Kafka Integration Engineer for a full-time, remote, long-term contract position. The role focuses on building an event-driven middleware platform using Kafka and AWS services. Key Responsibilities • Develop the AWS side of a Kafka-based solution using Amazon MSK, Kafka Connect, CDC, Java, API Gateway, Lambda, and CloudFormation • Integrate Salesforce as the initial event source • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing Requirements • Solid experience with AWS, Apache Kafka/Amazon MSK, Kafka Connect, CDC, Java, Schema Registry, API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFormation • Experience with CI/CD and automated testing • B2+/C1 English proficiency Nice-to-have • Experience with Salesforce CDC/event integration • Knowledge of Dead Letter Queues and error-handling patterns in event-driven systems
