About the Role We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join the State of Virginia (VDOT) for a contract opportunity. This role involves working with Microsoft Azure infrastructure and various cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities • Administer and engineer Microsoft Azure solutions • Manage Windows Server 2019+ and server infrastructure • Implement and maintain networking, firewalls, certificates, and load balancers • Develop and maintain PowerShell and/or Python scripts • Configure and manage Office 365 and Power Apps • Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or equivalent • Set up and maintain Single Sign-On (SSO) and Microsoft Entra ID • Ensure compliance with PCI or similar regulatory frameworks Requirements • 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure Administration/Engineering • Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2019+ and server infrastructure • Experience with networking, firewalls, certificates, and load balancers • Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Python scripting • Experience with Office 365 and Power Apps • Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent) • Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) and Microsoft Entra ID • Familiarity with PCI Compliance or similar regulatory frameworks
