About the Role National Indemnity Company (NICO) is seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer for a 6-month Contract-to-Hire opportunity in Omaha, NE. This role involves supporting and improving Azure cloud infrastructure while collaborating with various IT teams. Key Responsibilities • Provision and maintain Azure hub-and-spoke networks, compute, and storage using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) • Administer identity and access management, third-party integrations, and cloud automation • Monitor the health and performance of cloud and on-premises platforms, applications, and services • Implement and maintain security controls aligned with company policies • Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business teams on modern cloud solutions • Provide technical leadership and problem-solving support to project teams Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience • 5+ years of Azure infrastructure experience • Strong IaC skills: Bicep, ARM templates (JSON), Azure CLI, and PowerShell • Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills • Passion for continuous learning and creative solutions
