About the Role We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Engineer with strong Python programming expertise and hands-on experience with Databricks. The ideal candidate will develop and maintain Python-based automation modules, integrate REST APIs, troubleshoot distributed workflows, and implement reliable CI/CD processes. Key Responsibilities • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Python-based modules and automation workflows • Integrate with REST APIs, particularly Databricks and GitHub, to automate platform operations and validate API responses • Implement structured logging, monitoring, and debugging mechanisms to troubleshoot distributed systems and asynchronous workflows • Manage Git repositories, branching strategies, pull requests, commit hygiene, and version control best practices • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and release management • Design resilient workflows with robust exception handling, retries, timeouts, and recovery mechanisms • Diagnose integration failures, API errors, deployment issues, and workflow execution problems • Collaborate with DevOps, data engineering, and platform teams to improve automation reliability and operational efficiency • Follow best practices for secure API authentication, configuration management, and maintainable code Requirements • Strong fundamentals in Python programming, scripting, debugging, modules, functions, exception handling, and reusable code • Hands-on experience with Databricks APIs, workspace operations, or automation of Databricks environments • Experience calling, testing, validating, and troubleshooting REST APIs, particularly Databricks and GitHub • Experience with structured logging, distributed-system troubleshooting, and tracing execution state across asynchronous operations • Strong understanding of branching strategies, pull requests, merge workflows, and commit hygiene • Experience integrating automated testing and deployment into CI/CD pipelines • Ability to design reliable, retriable workflows with appropriate exception handling, timeouts, and recovery strategies
