About the Role We are looking for an Azure Security Engineer with extensive experience in healthcare security to join our team. This role focuses on implementing and maintaining security measures for cloud and on-premises infrastructure. Key Responsibilities • Implement HIPAA Security Rule technical safeguards • Ensure compliance with SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST CSF, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, and NIST CSF • Manage Microsoft Azure security, including NSGs, Private Endpoints, and Microsoft Entra ID • Secure VMware-based on-premises and co-located infrastructure • Implement Okta, Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, federation, Conditional Access, and PAM • Configure WAF, edge security, network segmentation, and non-human identities • Create security control narratives, architecture diagrams, and audit evidence Requirements • 5+ years of security engineering experience, including 3+ years in healthcare, health payments, or financial services • Hands-on experience implementing HIPAA Security Rule technical safeguards • Knowledge of SOC 2 Type II, HITRUST CSF, PCI DSS, NIST 800-53, and NIST CSF • Strong Microsoft Azure security expertise, including NSGs, Private Endpoints, and Microsoft Entra ID • Experience securing VMware-based on-premises and co-located infrastructure • Hands-on experience with Okta, Entra ID, Active Directory, SSO, federation, Conditional Access, and PAM • Experience with WAF, edge security, network segmentation, and non-human identities • Ability to create security control narratives, architecture diagrams, and audit evidence • Azure security certification or equivalent practical experience • Proficiency in enterprise-approved AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft 365 Copilot
