About the Role Asterism IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Security Engineer for a 12-month contract position in Mechanicsville, VA with a hybrid work arrangement. This role requires strong expertise in enterprise cloud security, particularly with Azure. Key Responsibilities • Implement and maintain Azure cloud security solutions • Design and manage security architecture for cloud environments • Configure and monitor Azure Firewall, Azure WAF, and NSG • Utilize Microsoft Sentinel and Splunk for security monitoring • Implement IAM, RBAC, PAM, and Zero Trust security models • Manage vulnerability assessments and incident response • Develop and implement Azure Policy and automation runbooks • Apply CNAPP, CWPP, and Cloud Security Posture Management practices Requirements • 8+ years of experience in enterprise cloud environments • 5+ years of experience in enterprise cloud security • Azure Security Engineer Associate certification • CompTIA Security+ certification • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP) certification • Strong hands-on Azure security experience • Expertise in cloud risk assessment • Incident response capabilities • Solid understanding of enterprise security compliance frameworks
