About the Role We are looking for an experienced COBOL Engineer to support mainframe applications, resolve production issues, maintain existing systems, and contribute to modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities • COBOL development, maintenance & production issue resolution • Work on production support and backlog stories • Learn and support mainframe emulation environments • CICS application discovery and migration • COBOL testing, validation & UAT support • GitLab CI/CD pipeline support for code migration to UAT and production • Contribute to modernization initiatives, including COBOL-to-Python/Java proof of concepts • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure application stability and successful deployments Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with COBOL and mainframe applications • Experience with CICS and production support • Knowledge of testing, UAT, and code migration processes • Familiarity with GitLab pipelines and CI/CD practices • Exposure to COBOL modernization or migration to Python/Java is a plus
