About the Role We are seeking an experienced Data Center / Storage Operations Engineer to support a large-scale Dell ObjectScale distributed storage environment. This hands-on role focuses on infrastructure monitoring, incident response, hardware break/fix, physical-layer troubleshooting, and maintaining storage service availability. Key Responsibilities • Monitor and support day-to-day operations of the Dell ObjectScale storage environment • Respond to storage and infrastructure incidents across assigned 24/7 coverage shifts • Support storage nodes, drives, controllers, network interfaces, and related hardware alerts • Execute authorized power cycles, equipment resets, and controlled power procedures following approved runbooks • Validate system health and service availability after maintenance or hardware interventions • Coordinate with storage, networking, engineering, and vendor support teams to resolve incidents • Identify recurring failures, escalate operational risks, and contribute to runbooks and continuous improvement Requirements • Hands-on experience in data center operations, enterprise storage, server support, networking, or onsite infrastructure support • Strong hardware break/fix and component-level troubleshooting skills • Experience troubleshooting cables, optics, transceivers, ports, and physical network connectivity • Ability to follow documented procedures for hardware maintenance, power interventions, safety, and change management • Strong incident documentation, communication, and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work independently during evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts • Willingness to support rotating shifts as required by 24/7 operations
