About the Role NCDOT is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team in the Triangle Region of North Carolina. This role focuses on leveraging modern Azure data platforms to implement enterprise data governance and architecture. Key Responsibilities • Utilize Azure Databricks and Azure Data Factory for data processing • Develop and implement enterprise data strategy and governance • Ensure data quality, manage metadata, and establish data lineage • Design data architecture and manage enterprise data • Perform data ingestion, transformation, cleansing, and validation • Define business data and identify authoritative sources • Catalog enterprise data, establish data ownership, and stewardship • Collaborate with business, data engineering, DBA, and Power BI teams Requirements • Strong hands-on expertise in modern Azure data platforms • Experience with enterprise data governance • Knowledge of data architecture principles • Ability to work with cross-functional teams • Must be local to the Triangle region of North Carolina
