About the Role We are seeking a Data Scientist specializing in automotive residual value modeling for a long-term contract-to-hire position. This role requires expertise in predictive modeling and machine learning to analyze vehicle valuation and depreciation. Key Responsibilities • Develop and implement predictive models for automotive residual value • Process large datasets using Spark or similar tools • Validate models and evaluate performance • Apply machine learning algorithms such as regression, gradient boosting, and random forests Requirements • 3+ years of professional experience in data science and predictive modeling • Strong hands-on experience with Python, SQL, Pandas, and Scikit-learn • Expertise in machine learning algorithms • Experience with model validation and performance evaluation • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Experience • Automotive residual value, vehicle valuation, or depreciation modeling • Experience in automotive, lending, leasing, insurance, or auctions • Model monitoring, interpretability, and production ML workflows
