About the Role We are seeking a Database Administrator to join our team supporting a federal client. This role requires hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server, with a focus on database administration, automation, and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities • Administer and maintain enterprise database platforms • Automate database provisioning, maintenance, backups, and compliance tasks • Support database architecture, migrations, cloud services, and containerized environments • Manage development and QA database environments • Optimize queries, improve application performance, and strengthen database security • Develop monitoring dashboards, alerts, and runbooks • Support enterprise COTS application implementation and troubleshooting Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server • Database administration experience on Linux platforms • Scripting with Bash, Shell, and/or Python • Experience with database monitoring, performance tuning, backups, patching, and upgrades • Database automation, troubleshooting, and incident support • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to the federal client requirement • Must be local to the Livermore, CA area and able to work onsite once a week • Mid-level profile preferred; maximum 12–13 years of experience
