About the Role We are looking for a strong Database Engineer for a 6–12+ month contract with a leading investment management client. Key Responsibilities • Provide SQL Server administration, production support, and troubleshooting • Perform SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, blocking, and deadlocks • Design database architecture, HA/DR, upgrades, patching, and monitoring • Develop Python, PowerShell, or Bash automation scripts • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines and automated deployments • Utilize AWS, CI/CD, Git, and Terraform for cloud infrastructure Requirements • Strong SQL Server expertise • Experience with database administration and performance tuning • Knowledge of database architecture and high availability/disaster recovery • Proficiency in automation using Python, PowerShell, or Bash • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and deployment automation • Understanding of cloud platforms like AWS • Experience with CI/CD, Git, and Terraform Benefits • Competitive hourly rate • Contract-to-hire opportunity
