About the Role We are seeking a DevOps Engineer to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This role involves managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and operational tasks to ensure smooth and efficient system operations. Key Responsibilities • Manage and optimize Kubernetes for container orchestration and app deployments • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins • Utilize AWS CDK and Terraform for infrastructure as code and environment provisioning • Monitor and manage cloud infrastructure and services using AWS • Implement observability and monitoring solutions using Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki • Automate recurring operational tasks such as credential renewals and health checks • Apply AI and automation to reduce incident volume and improve Mean Time To Repair (MTTR) • Operate from existing runbooks and documentation without hand-holding from app owners • Support compliance and risk management through CAPA support and access roster reviews • Onboard new data sources and integrations, apply patches and upgrades, and manage environments • Vet and ramp new team members against platform-specific skill needs • Maintain coverage to ensure no platform is single-threaded on one person • Provide light-touch reporting on platform health, open items, and recurring risks Requirements • Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, AWS CDK, Terraform, and AWS • Strong understanding of observability and monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Loki • Knowledge of network security principles • Experience with data platforms and data engineering • Ability to automate operational tasks and apply AI/automation to improve system performance • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to triage, investigate root causes, and escalate issues • Experience with compliance and risk management practices • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
