About the Role We are seeking an Embedded Linux Software Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing embedded applications for physical devices and integrating software with firmware and hardware components. Key Responsibilities • Develop Linux-based embedded applications • Design and implement applications for physical/hardware devices • Create device UIs and touchscreen interfaces • Integrate application software with firmware and hardware components • Build logging, health monitoring, and failure-recovery systems • Troubleshoot and solve technical problems independently Requirements • Strong experience in Linux-based embedded application development • Proficiency in C++, Python, or similar systems-level programming languages • Experience developing applications for physical/hardware devices • Hands-on experience with device UI development and touchscreen interfaces • Experience integrating application software with firmware and hardware components • Strong knowledge of Linux internals, services, processes, and system-level debugging • Experience with APIs, networking, and device-to-cloud connectivity • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Local candidates who can commute to Fremont, California • Hybrid work availability • Valid driver's license (DL) • LinkedIn profile with 150+ connections and a profile picture
