About the Role We are seeking a Gen AI Engineer to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role focuses on building scalable, extensible AI platforms that enable different business domains to develop agents independently while adhering to enterprise standards. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement scalable AI platforms with common enterprise standards for interoperability, security, governance, reliability, and operational management • Build production-grade AI engineering capabilities including Agent Harness Engineering, automated evaluation, feedback loops, prompt and model evaluation, observability, guardrails, resiliency, and continuous improvement mechanisms • Create a reusable platform where multiple business domains can build, deploy, monitor, and operate autonomous agents using standardized enterprise patterns • Design agentic workflows and multi-agent orchestration using both event-driven and workflow-based patterns • Establish enterprise-grade observability across the platform including centralized instrumentation, tracing, operational metrics, performance monitoring, error tracking, and visibility into agent execution • Develop user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript • Apply software design principles such as SOLID and Domain-Driven Design Requirements • Experience building scalable, extensible, technology-agnostic AI platforms • Strong understanding of AI model interactions, agent tools, and external services • Experience with frontend technologies, particularly Angular • Familiarity with front-end frameworks and build tools like Webpack • Knowledge of software design principles and best practices • Ability to maintain currency in technical skills and industry trends
