About the Role Karaz Platform is seeking a Go backend developer for a 6-month contract to work on healthcare and IoT products, including real-time patient monitoring for wearable devices and a multi-tenant system for managing medical-device replacements. Key Responsibilities • Build and maintain REST APIs and real-time WebSocket services in Go • Develop microservices that process high-volume device data and send alerts • Write database migrations, optimize queries, and ensure service reliability in production • Implement CI/CD pipelines for staging and production deployments Requirements • 5+ years of backend development experience with strong production Go skills (goroutines, channels, context, error handling, testing) • Experience with Go HTTP frameworks/routers (Gin, chi, gorilla/mux) • Proficiency with MongoDB, Redis, and PostgreSQL (pgx, migrations with goose) • Familiarity with NATS or other messaging systems, and WebSocket/Socket.IO • Docker and CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, AWS CodeBuild) • AWS (ECR, EC2, S3) and working knowledge of Kubernetes • Understanding of JWT auth, REST API design, and Git workflows Benefits • Opportunity to extend the contract or move to a permanent role based on business needs and performance
