About the Role We are seeking a Senior Google Cloud Engineer to join our platform engineering team in Costa Rica. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure with a focus on cloud security, automation, and operational standards. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with the platform engineering team to design, implement, and maintain GCP infrastructure • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) best practices • Implement and manage GCP services, including VPC, IAM, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, and Cloud Load Balancing • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure provisioning and application deployments • Implement cloud security best practices, including IAM, service accounts, secrets management, and network security • Monitor platform performance, availability, reliability, and cost; troubleshoot infrastructure and deployment issues • Contribute to cloud architecture, operational standards, automation, and platform documentation • Work closely with application, DevOps, security, and platform teams to deliver scalable and reliable cloud solutions Requirements • 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering, with strong hands-on GCP experience • Strong proficiency in Terraform, reusable modules, remote state, and environment-specific infrastructure management • Experience with GCP networking, IAM, security, monitoring, and logging • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Jenkins • Working knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes (GKE), including container-based application deployments • Proficiency in scripting using Python, Bash, or similar languages • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills • Ability to multitask and switch contexts while representing the platform team to internal customers and stakeholders
