About the Role We are looking for a skilled GraphQL Developer with strong Node.js expertise to design, develop, and optimize scalable APIs and high-performance microservices. This role focuses on building secure GraphQL architectures and integrating backend services for web and mobile applications. Key Responsibilities • Design and develop scalable GraphQL APIs, including schemas, queries, mutations, and subscriptions • Implement schema governance, schema stitching, and federation using Apollo Federation or similar technologies • Optimize GraphQL performance by addressing N+1 query issues using DataLoader, batching, and caching • Develop backend services and microservices using Node.js, TypeScript/JavaScript, Express, Fastify, NestJS, or Apollo Server • Integrate relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis • Connect REST APIs, gRPC services, and third-party platforms through GraphQL • Implement API security measures, including query depth and complexity limits, rate limiting, and RBAC • Improve API latency, throughput, and reliability through profiling, debugging, and performance optimization • Implement caching strategies using Redis and CDN/edge caching • Develop automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests using Jest, Mocha, or Supertest • Collaborate with React, iOS, Android, and web teams to deliver efficient, reliable data interfaces Requirements • Strong hands-on experience with GraphQL API development and architecture • Proficiency in Node.js, JavaScript, and/or TypeScript • Experience with Apollo Server, Apollo Federation, or equivalent GraphQL technologies • Knowledge of REST APIs, microservices, and gRPC • Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and caching mechanisms • Understanding of API security, performance optimization, and automated testing
