About the Role We are looking for an experienced IRIS Data Engineer for a 6-month extendable contract in Dubai, UAE. The ideal candidate should have 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or related roles. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement data solutions using Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Azure Data Factory • Develop and maintain enterprise data warehouse solutions using InterSystems IRIS • Implement ETL/ELT processes, dimensional modeling, and data mart design • Work with ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake, and Lakehouse Architecture • Utilize dbt or equivalent SQL-based transformation frameworks • Manage GitHub/Git repositories, branching strategies, CI/CD, and automated deployments • Tune data pipelines, Spark workloads, SQL queries, and warehouse processes • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication Requirements • 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Warehousing • Strong hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL & Azure Data Factory (ADF) • Practical experience with InterSystems IRIS, IRIS SQL, data integration, or enterprise data warehouse development • Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, Dimensional Modeling, Star & Snowflake Schemas, and Data Mart Design • Experience with ADLS Gen2, Delta Lake & Lakehouse Architecture • Experience with dbt or equivalent SQL-based transformation frameworks • Experience with GitHub/Git, branching strategies, CI/CD & automated deployments • Ability to tune data pipelines, Spark workloads, SQL queries & warehouse processes • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills
