About the Role We are looking for a Java Backend Developer to join Walmart's team in Bentonville, AR. This is a contract position requiring 7+ years of experience. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Java backend systems • Work with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud frameworks • Design and implement microservices architecture • Create REST APIs and work with Kafka for event-driven architecture • Utilize SQL, NoSQL databases, and Redis • Work with cloud platforms AWS and Azure • Implement CI/CD pipelines using Git and Maven • Ensure system security with OAuth2 and JWT • Design distributed systems Requirements • 7+ years of experience with Java (11/17/21) • Strong experience with Spring Boot & Spring Cloud • Expertise in microservices architecture • Experience with REST APIs • Knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architecture • Experience with SQL, NoSQL databases, and Redis • Familiarity with AWS and Azure • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of CI/CD, Git, and Maven • Understanding of OAuth2 and JWT • Experience with system design and distributed systems • Agile/Scrum methodology knowledge
