About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Backend Developer to join an enterprise banking project with Bank of America. This role involves developing and maintaining backend applications for a major financial institution. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain backend applications using Java and Spring Boot • Design and implement scalable microservices and RESTful APIs • Work with SQL databases, data modeling, and query optimization • Integrate applications with internal banking systems and external services • Write unit and integration tests using JUnit and Mockito • Participate in code reviews, debugging, performance tuning, and production support • Collaborate with architects, QA, DevOps, and business teams Requirements • Core Java 8+ and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) • Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Framework • Microservices Architecture and REST APIs • SQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL • JUnit and Mockito • Git, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD fundamentals • Agile/Scrum methodology Preferred Skills • Kafka or other messaging technologies • Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms • Banking or financial services experience
