About the Role We are looking for a Java Backend Developer with DevOps expertise to join Apple's team in Cupertino, CA. This is a 12+ month contract role requiring 8–10+ years of experience. Key Responsibilities • Develop complex business logic using Java and Spring Boot • Design and implement backend systems using microservices and distributed systems • Migrate enterprise applications and workloads to AWS • Implement Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Docker solutions • Set up CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy, and GitOps • Ensure observability, logging, metrics, monitoring, alerting, and production troubleshooting • Work with PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Redis databases Requirements • 8–10+ years of experience in backend and cloud engineering • Strong Java, Spring Boot, and complex business logic development skills • Deep hands-on AWS expertise, including AWS services, AWS CLI, automation, and cloud-native solutions • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred) and Docker • CI/CD pipeline implementation using Jenkins, AWS CodeDeploy, and GitOps • Strong understanding of PostgreSQL, Kafka, and Redis • Must have strong backend and cloud engineering ownership • Resumes must include candidate email and contact details • Resumes should be 5–6 pages long • Must provide multiple interview availability slots between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM EDT Candidates with only frontend experience or basic AWS deployment knowledge will not be considered.
