About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join a client project in Albany, NY. This is a 30-month contract position requiring local candidates. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement solutions using Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and Microservices • Develop RESTful APIs and work with cloud technologies • Collaborate with team members on complex projects • Ensure code quality through testing and best practices Requirements • 7+ years of experience in Java/J2EE development • Strong experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate, and JPA • Hands-on experience designing and developing Microservices and RESTful APIs • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases • Proficiency in JUnit, Mockito, Maven, and Gradle • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, along with Docker and Kubernetes • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins • At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role as a Developer • 2+ years of experience in a state or federal government environment • Hands-on experience with Integrated Eligibility System (IES) programs • Must be local to New York (NY)
