About the Role We are seeking a Java Developer to join our team for a 30-month contract. This role requires experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, and related technologies, with a focus on state or federal government projects. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Java applications using Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and Spring Security • Work with Microservices and RESTful APIs • Implement solutions using Hibernate/JPA • Collaborate with teams to ensure project requirements are met Requirements • 4–7 years of experience in Java/J2EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA, Microservices, and RESTful APIs • Strong knowledge of Java, OOP, design patterns, and SOLID principles • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, or SQL • Proficiency in JUnit, Mockito, Maven/Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins • Minimum 2 years of experience in state or federal government projects, preferably Health and Human Services • Hands-on experience with Integrated Eligibility System (IES) programs, including PA, TA, SNAP, HEAP, Fair Hearings, or Child Support • Must be local to New York State
