About the Role We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team for a 12+ month contract position. This role requires advanced Java development skills and experience with various technologies including Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Apache Kafka. Key Responsibilities • Develop and maintain Java applications • Work with large datasets and high-volume data • Implement solutions using Spring Boot and Spring Batch • Integrate with messaging technologies like Apache Kafka and MQTT • Design and implement REST APIs and integration patterns Requirements • 4+ years of advanced Java development experience • Strong expertise in Java multithreading, concurrency, and performance tuning • Experience handling large datasets, high-volume data, and large files • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring Batch • Strong knowledge of relational databases (RDBMS) • Experience with Apache Kafka and/or MQTT messaging technologies • Expertise in REST APIs, JSON, XML, message queues, and integration patterns • Strong coding practices, reusable components, and automated testing • Python programming experience is a plus • Must be local to the San Francisco Bay Area • Willing to work in a hybrid arrangement in Fremont, CA • A valid and updated LinkedIn profile is mandatory • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
